Going to this practice was a complete waste of my time, energy, and finances. I should have taken into much consideration the fact of the low reviews from others and the fact that I was able get an appointment with this office within a week of calling but other offices were booking appointments 3 months or more out.

1. I was rushed in my appointment. No time for questions. She wasn’t inviting or really showed much interest. The frustration came in when I was asked multiple questions that I researched and filled out on my paperwork. She didn't look at it.
2. Took weeks to get a call back about my labs.
3. Was not invited back to get an explanation of what my labs meant. Was just told some things were low by the nurse. I asked the nurse if she could explain to me but she wasn't sure. However, she was nice.
4. Was referred back to my OBGYN to ask questions about my labs to which they don’t have a copy.
5. I asked the nurse if my paperwork was lost because I gave my primary care and OBGYN info four times.
6. Bills are now coming in the mail and for what? Symptoms are still present. And I know nothing more about my body than before. Other than I should eat more things with iron. However, my labs showed l wasnt anemic.

I do NOT recommend Dr Rachel Fishman Oiknine. if you want an answer to your Endocrine problem choose another doctor. She certainly was not interested in resolving this patient's endocrine problem. I should have known at the first appointment, when she seemed overwhelmed by my too much information and said to me in an impatient, irritated, curt manner, "How did you even get to me?" Three weeks later she called my PCP to tell that doctor he had to manage the problem. After which she had her office call me to tell me she couldn't make a diagnosis because I was not able to perform a certain test. This was simply a failure on her part because she didn't want to be bothered, just too difficult. Now I owe her $295.00. FOR NOTHING!

I was once hospitalized in a foreign country and couldn’t communicate with my doctors and that was a lovely experience compared to meeting Dr. Fishman. I could overlook the horrific bedside manner but she dismissed my blood tests, my questions and real concerns. I was horrified, in tears, and had zero information on how to feel better until my thyroid numbers became low enough for her to treat me.

She has always been very thorough and makes sure all my questions are answered. She is quick and I do not have to wait forever which I love! She is super kind and caring and makes a great Dr. If your looking.

Not a fan of her or this office. She's just very short with her responses and not much empathy. I have had more of an issue with the office. They take forever to call me about blood work and If you call the office good luck NOT getting an answering machine. I don't think I have ever called and gotten an actual person on the phone.

As a referring colleague, my patient’s experiences with Dr. Fishman have been extremely positive. They receive timely appointments, prompt responses from the office staff and expert clinical care from Dr. Fishman. She detected thyroid cancer in one patient I referred to her, that was in fact missed by another endocrinologist within the same week. Dr. Fishman spends time with her patients and personally calls them with updates. I have referred 3 patients to her and all three called to thank me for the referral.

It seems like she knows what she's doing but it feels like she doesn't want to spend much time answering questions. She's in and out.
