Eddie is one of the most meticulous and methodical people I know. The service here is not always fast, but it's well worth the wait. His shop is very clean and organized and that is a reflection of the type of work he does.

If you have never listened to the advice of someone who has told you to stay away from a crooked person/situation, it’s time to listen to all the numerous bad reviews about this shop owner. He is shysty and a crook just as described by his customers in the reviews.
I took my car to him because a manager at the parts store in Cedar Hill referred him. I listened to this shop owner proclaim how proficient and expert he was in all things auto repair…
I told him how another mechanic had kept my car over one month, damaged parts that were on the steering column cover behind the steering wheel where he performed work, etc. Eddie said that he would order new parts (steering column cover and door handle), and fix the lights that the first shop messed up. He charged $500 and required me to pay $300 upfront. He had the car over 2 weeks. I called to tell him that I needed the car… Around 2 or 3 days later, he called to say the car was fixed and ready for pick up.
When I saw my car, I was shocked and upset. Eddie had replaced the steering column cover with a used column cover from a junk yard. The cover was not the right cover to fit my year/model car. He sawed holes in the used steering cover to make it fit over the turn signal lever and the steering tilt adjustment lever. Then he put screws in and zip ties around the 2 pieces to hold the top cover and bottom cover together around the steering column which was not the correct part and was not new.
The glove box was shut. When I opened it, it would not stay closed. Another item that was not fixed. The reverse lights still did not work.
The shop owner said that I would have to pay him or he would keep my car. He said after 30 days, by law, he could sell the car if I did not pay him. He did not do the repairs as agreed but, wanted to get paid anyway.
His work is not good, he overcharges, he is dishonest and lacks integrity! BEWARE!

I brought my car to Eddie and let him know what I needed done. He inspection the needed repairs and called me to let me know what it would take. I felt good with the cost and the amount of time it would take to finish the job. I do recommend E&L Auto.

Last year my car started stalling while I was driving. I brought my vehicle to E&L Auto for repair. Eddie changed a fuse (charged 300 dollars) and said my car was fixed. Maybe 6 months later the problem resumed. I returned to E&L Auto and Eddie said my problem was now an oxygen sensor. I allowed him to change the sensor and oil change (350 dollars total). ONE WEEK LATER, not only did my car stall (on I-35), it started over heating, leaking oil and my engine started making a rattling sound. I returned to E&L Auto again. Now he was claiming an entirely different reason for my car's problem and wanted to charge me over 300 dollars again to fix it. I refused to let him touch anything else on my car. I feel since I paid the price he asked without hesitation in the past, he was dishonest about my vehicle and just wanted to keep me coming back. He didn't even offer to fix my car at a discounted rate, since he was wrong both times I previously came to him, WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP!

I have been a steady customer of Eddie's for the last 3 years. He has worked on my foreign and domestic cars. He has for most part been my mechanic. I commute alot so he works on my vehicles every 2-4 weeks. I have a total of 5 vehicles that he keeps running. I think he is a great mechanic. His prices are decent and customer service is outstanding. He goes out of his way for his customers. I am surprised about the poor reviews. This hasn't been my experience at all. He has repaired alot on my cars. I was referred to him and he has been great.

I will never go back to this place again and wouldn't recommend him.either. I had front brakes done by NTB and it was about 400.00 so When I needed rear brakes I went the Eddie at E&L. He was more than 100.00 cheaper. 1 year to the month and I heard grinding in my rear brakes so I go back yo Eddie and he said that if there is an issue it was because of bad calipers or me driving with the emergency brake on. He said it was out of warranty and not much he could do. I brought my car back to NTB and the said that tje problem was that he didn't grease the caliper bolts and that was the issue. They said that they always grease them to prevent these issues. So I already know that if I go back to E&L he will say that wasn't the problem and have to pay him again to do another bad job. No thanks. Bad service, bad mechanic.

I recently became a mechanic and along with some help of my shops L1 technician noticed that my blend door actuator was jammed to block out the hot air to get me cold air. We paid Eddie an enormous amount of money to “fix my A/C”, E&L auto are the type of companies that give mechanics a bad name. I will NEVER take my service to such a crooked shop ever again! Who knows what else was done half ass on my vehicle, BE AWARE WHEN GOING HERE!!!

BEWARE! This is by far the worst automotive repair shop I have ever done business with. What was supposed to be a 4 day job turned into a 4 week nightmare. After taking apart the front end of my truck and making it immobile, the owner asked me for money. Not just a little money, $1,200 cash! I brought him a $600 advance on the work that was to be done. After another week had passed and several excuses, I called them to find out when they were going to be finished. The owner said that they stopped working on it because I only gave him $600 cash when he asked for $1,200! Most businesses complete the job then get paid I explained and he said that he needed the money. I literally had to ask what it was going to take to get my truck finished. He said another $600 advance. I brought it by and all they had were excuses and when I told them that I needed my vehicle back, he actually said that he didn't care. That it would be done when he finished it. I finally got it back on Valentines Day at 8pm and about fell over when he gave me the bill and an incomplete truck. Since then I have had to repair several items that they worked on. All I can say is BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!
