Where do I even start? This only refers to Secondary Years.
I left this school 6 months ago after not passing 11th and 12th grade. It was a process of Inquiry and Denial... later failure.
I am proficient in French, German, Italian and Dutch. I wished to major in one of these as my 1 of 4 subjects in AS Level. It's being offered in other school. French and German are offered at both A Level and AS level. I was denied these classes in the name of "catering to your child". This communication led to me taking classes that I was not interested in taking in substitution of the previously mentioned French and German.
Instead, I took Physics but with a LACK of knowledge in the subject, supplied by previous ineffective, dull instruction in which I was impervious to. I failed my exams twice. Wasted 2 years of my life while I could have just taken my GED and studied for my associate's degree.
Some teachers are very great. Some were fired. Some left because of the internal state of this school. We have had teachers come and go.
Do you want your child to have a 1-to-1 or similar ratio with the teachers you pay the salary of? Look for a school that actually tries to accommodate your children in their interests.... offline. I took A-Level Computer Science for 2 years. I did all the coursework. Even received an A for my mock exams. Guess what? It didn't matter. I flunked it. Online teaching doesn't work for most children, especially ones who transferred from "in-person learning".
As for the gapping hole that is every subject offered online except for Maths, Physics, Biology, English and Chemistry, your child won't exactly learn those online subjects. Either choose "in-person learning" or trust that your child will actually study. Don't waste your money if your values do not reflect those of ISN itself.
ISN provides an environment that teaches students independence. If you are transferring in from any ordinary school, this may be very different. It can make or break your child.
I joined the US Army to become a linguist. This is my dream. ISN refused to let me to follow my dreams. After 6 months out of ISN, I've already gotten halfway through my associate's degree.
I'll be successful, just without ISN in the picture.
If you have any other choices, choose a different school.
