Für ein Steakhaus nicht wirklich gut, Medium bestellt und Durch angekommen. ..geht nicht! Pommes und Vorspeise waren ok.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a great experience. Food was fine but service and professionalism was incredibly poor. The evening began with the barman/manager? shouting f** hell at some guests whilst we were waiting in the bar, my elderly relatives did not appreciate this after thinking they were dining at a formal establishment. It took +2hrs for one course to be served and cleared, we attempted multiple times to grab the staff’s attention but they were too busy setting up breakfast for the next day. When they finally cleared our main course and gave us dessert menus, we waited another 15 minutes before I had to go and find someone to take our order. Barman/manager was sat with said guests so not sure who was in charge. It’s unclear what this restaurant is aiming for, with the high prices you would naturally expect strong service but the whole experience did not warrant the prices charged. Afraid to say we won’t be back.

The soup was good the main was very poor no vegetables and thin frozen chips for £20 a head at lunch time. Used to be very good, but, not now. We will not be returning.

We've been visiting L'Experience for around 20 years.
Food is always excellent, great service and a good atmosphere.
French onion soup and fillet steak never disappoint!
A favourite with our group, highly recommended.

Experience it was, but not a good one. It's supposed to be a fine dining experience, that it certainly is not. The service is well below par. We arrived 15mins early in order to have a pre- dinner drink and said as much. After a long wait and having to ask twice the drinks order was eventually given.
When the menus were handed out we were told of the specials. Seeing as we had booked for a 6.30pm slot we were surprised, when we gave our orders and two were for specials, they were not now available so early on in the evening.
We were 'summoned' rather than pleasantly escorted to our table with the waiter standing at the door and pointing across the room to indicate our table.... maybe he's watched too many Fawlty Towers episodes.
We asked to order wine. We were served our starters and had to ask again to have wine. We had finished our starters before the wine arrived.
One member of the party has an allergy and specified this at the time of ordering, yet was served something containing the allergen and the staff were not interested. One simply shrugged their shoulders and said it was the customer's problem and walked away.
Altogether it was a terrible experience, ruined the birthday we were supposed to be celebrating, so an aptly named establishment. We will not be returning and will be sure to let all our friends, family and acquaintances know.
