At first i was SO against my children going to this school because of the lies i was told and the location..BUT i must admit i as well as my children we are happy and honored to be apart of this school.. My students come from another disd school (Fredrick Douglas) and my students where been assaulted by teachers and students my students where miserable sad and depressed. My students was failing and so very unhappy and you can't expect children to do good in these conditions. But Paul Dunbar has been good to my students they love there new school as well as the teachers and the environment. The whole faculty of Teachers, etc are all new this year. So any old or bad comments are all lies
Teachers are very active with parents
Download the classdojo app and set up account to know how more about your students learning and behavior also about events with the school❤

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!
We recently moved to Dallas and this was the closest school to our house. I was required to meet with the principle before my children started their first day, never had to do that before but I did it, Upon this visit I was ask by the principle if "I was aware that I was sending my children to a predominantly black school". Also in the initial visit my oldest daughter would not stop touching my son even though he asked her multiple times and the principle told my son that he shouldn't be bothered by it because that how people show love, she is advocating for children to put hands on others. My daughter was kicked out of school recently due to altercation that was a misunderstand by my daughter and another student where they would pull each others hair, the other student thought my daughter had pulled her hair even though it was someone else and in turn pulled my daughter by her hair to the ground. the the principle advocated to my daughter on the first day that it was ok to put her hands another person but she was kicked out and forced to learn virtually because of the incident but was not notified that my daughter would be learning virtually for the rest of the year. My oldest son was being hit and called racial slurs by other students, the teacher was aware of the situation as well a principle but I was not notified by a staff member until my son told me it had been happening for a month. We reached out to the district where an investigation was held but never heard anything back. My son is also on a 504 plan for being dyslexic and never once has received the accommodations by the teacher in the district who is supposed to see him 3 days a week. Dallas ISD says they have a 0 tolerance policy for bullying but when you file a complaint you never hear back. If you care about your kids education do not send your kids here, the school and teachers communicate nothing, students are disruptive, rude, and lack basic respect, this school is nothing more than a daycare. they keep you out of the loop so they don't get in trouble or investigated. there are plenty of schools in the district that will provide your kids with a good education.

Really the one star is excessive. I wasn't impressed at all. This is more of a daycare than a place of learning. Set your expectations very low for your children attending this school. They consistently have been failing as a whole.

Very good school. I see people giving it 1/2 stars because their child has not learned anything, but in my opinion if the child interrupts class doesn't pay attention. Whos fault is it really?
